I'm participating in the "Bridging the gap" synchroblog, but I am up for
synchroblogging with y'all in what's left of this month.

If I might submit a topic:

Currently I'm knee-deep in Salvation Army camp—where we take at-risk
inner-city kids from northern and central California, offer them a discount
or free summer camp, and use the week to give them a great time… and
introduce them to Jesus Christ. We're overt about it, too. We make it very
clear this is a Christian camp, and that we mean to evangelize children.

Lately there's been some controversy in the States about evangelizing kids,
particularly after the "Jesus Camp" documentary. Many, including me, found
that documentary (and camp) bothersome. Some folks simply don't find it
appropriate to direct the gospel to kids. Obviously I do, or I wouldn't be
at my camp. I'm curious about the synchrobloggers' thoughts on this topic.
Whether you've seen that documentary or not, what do you think about how (or
if) it should be done? ---K.
