Barbecue
(backposting) My turn to cook this evening, so I barbecued. Got some local(ish) fish, some beef mince (for homemade burgers) and sausages. Some of the fish needed to go back onto the barbecue, but that was partly because by the end of the cooking period, all the light I had to see by was from the embers of the coals, but by the end, it was all fine, and people seemed to like it, which was good.Oh, we went back to Polzeath: it's all good. Jo loves it, there are good places to camp out, and all the rest of it.
Noticed a cafe up the hill called "Tubestation", with a cross outside. Intend to check it out at some point.

Cheese-making
I don't see what the big deal is about making cheese. It's really not difficult. Let me give you some help:- procure some full-fat milk
- check that it's organic (preferably)
- if it's not organic, don't worry too much
- find a child's beaker
- make sure that the top to the child's beaker is _not_ a screw-on one
- put a fair amount of the milk from your earlier steps into the child's beaker which doesn't have a screw-on top
- whether or not it (the milk) is organic
- probably a little more than half-full
- allow a child to drink some (but not too much) of the milk
- leave the milk in the child's bed
- for at least 24 hours in the room (must be hot)
- wait for beaker to explode
- you now have cheese

Last post of the year
Sitting watching Sense and Sensibility, which we recorded last night. We love Alan Rickman. Not sure there's anything much to blog about, to be honest. Meant to take Jo swimming, but all of the pools in the area seemed closed, so Sennon and Victoria came around instead, and we went for a walk. Made flapjacks, ate them, or some of them. Moo made a lovely fish pie for supper.
We've got a new synchronised blog coming up on the 10th January: spiritual warfare, which is a new subject for me.
Here's to next year, 2007. May it bring Light into the life of all who read.
